Founded in Switzerland in 2020 by an international team, AKONI was born with a precise vision: to redefine luxury in eyewear. The name "Akoni", derived from Latin, means "priceless" and "worthy of admiration" – an aspiration that is reflected in every choice the brand makes, from materials to design, from manufacturing to attention to detail.

Each frame is made in Japan in collaboration with the country's most esteemed artisans, who integrate centuries-old Japanese arts and crafts techniques – from Joinery woodworking to Kiriko glass, from knife forging to Shodo calligraphy – with innovative avant-garde practices. This approach makes each pair of glasses a living testament to Japan's artisanal heritage.
